The public relations intern is responsible for helping to promote and strengthen the perception of humanities majors and efforts to our audiences (students parents, alumni, campus members, prospective students).

- Supply current events information to Human Ties editor, Marketing Communication office (specifically Campus Conversation), and Enrollment Service recruiters
- Work with Marketing Communications' web intern to keep division web pages current by supplying information and suggestions
- Suggest innovative ideas for communicating with our audiences
Retention
Retention Internship
The retention intern is responsible for helping the Humanities Division develop and maintain a strong connection between its faculty and current students.

- Look for innovative ways to strengthen the presence of the division on Union's campus
Event Planning
Special Events Intern
The special events intern is responsible for helping the Humanities Division implement excellent events that help faculty connect with current students.

Recruitment Internship
The recruitment intern is responsible for helping the Humanities Division develop and maintain a strong connection between its faculty, Enrollment Services, and prospective students.

- Arrange the development and dispersal of recruiting materials (print and online)
- Develop a variety of innovative methods to promote and strengthen the perception of humanities majors
Human Ties
Human Ties Editor
The Human Ties editor is responsible for producing three newsletters each academic year---fall, winter, and spring. The newsletter is primarily a tool to a connect with Humanities Division alumni.

- Edit articles and work with "editor" to finalize draft
- Compile and design each issue
- Work with printing company
- Gather address information for alumni, current students, and parents of current students
- Deliver newsletters for bulk mail processing
- Suggest innovative ideas for upcoming issues
- Archive newsletter issues in hard copy form and outline
