Still a young student organization on Union's campus, the Peace and Social Justice Club is co-sponsored by Chris Blake and Tanya Cochran. The club's aim is to keep the college and surrounding community aware of today's important, but often overlooked, issues—both local and global: hunger, poverty, discrimination, and violence, to name a few. Our goals include educating ourselves and others on peace and justice issues and partnering with church and community organizations that help benefit those in need.
The club is for students interested in actively making changes for healthier and happier communities rather than just sitting around and talking about the problems.
If you are interested in joining the club, contact one of the sponsors. We look forward to meeting and working with you for a better world!
