Expectations for Student Learning
Expectations for student learning at Union College are stated as goals and objectives for each academic discipline and program in the Academic Bulletin (2010-2011).
The Academic Assessment Plan outlines the assessment activities which measure student learning against these goals and objectives. The plan focuses on individual courses, academic disciplines and academic divisions to ensure maximum institutional effectiveness for student learning.
Evidence that students have met the college's expectations for learning are measured against established standards. The ongoing revision of these results, we believe, will advance our efforts to evaluate the quality of our students' learning experience and to devise strategies for improvement.
Taken together, we believe the above provides a solid framework for student learning expectations and fulfill the mission and vision of Union College.
