Computer Labs

Union College has public computers and printers available for students in most buildings on campus.

Microcomputer Laboratory
The microlab is located on the third floor of the administration building and contains 41 Hewlett Packard Pentium PCs that use Windows 7 operating systems. It is managed by the Division of Business and Computer Science. Internet access is available. There is always somebody present in the lab in case you need assistance. Handicap-accessible computers are available.
Graphic Arts Computer Lab
The graphics lab is located on the east end of Engel Hall and contains 12 Macintosh G-4 computers with 19" monitors. Other hardware includes scanners, color printers, CD writers and a digital camera card reader. Software includes Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe InDesign, Dreamweaver and QuarkXPress. The graphics lab is managed by the Division of Fine Arts.

Hours:
Monday - Thursday: 8 a.m. - 10:30 p.m.
Friday: 8:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.
Sunday: 12:30 p.m. - 10:30 p.m.
Library public terminals
Additional computers can be found in the Union College Library. The library contains computers to search library databases as well as a mini-microlab. These computers are available during regular library hours. Please read the library's computer policy before using the computers.
Other computers

Several mini-microlabs and single-station computers are scattered throughout the rest of Union's campus.

  • A mini-microlab is located in Jorgensen Hall on the first floor, and has 10 Windows XP's that are available for use when a class hasn't booked them.

    Hours:
    Monday - Thursday: 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
    Friday: 8:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.
    Sunday: Available by Appointment

  • There is a computer lab located in the east end of the Health Science building for Nursing students.

  • There are single computers located in the lobbies of Prescott Hall and Culver Hall, for use of students without personal computers. These are available 24 hours a day.
