2013 graduate—planning to enroll in physical therapy school
"I was in the Health and Human Performance Program all four years at Union, and I loved every minute! One of my favorite experiences was the althletic injuries class that I took. Everything in that class pertained to what I want to do for a living as a physical therapist. It was very hands-on, going beyond the class lecture to put what we learned into practice. We actually practiced wrapping injuries and assessing our classmates who walked in the door pretending to be injured. This has been great preparation for my future.”
Matthew Russell gives an overview of the International Rescue and Relief (IRR) program and explains why IRR was a perfect fit for him.
The Division of Emergency Management and Exercise Science includes the programs of health and human performance, and international rescue and relief. These programs promote mental, physical, social and spiritual development of students for competent Christ-like service in their chosen profession.
