Biography of Jacquelyn Simpson

Jacque teaches grades one through four at George Stone School, the Union College Lab school. The purpose for the Union College Lab school is to train student teachers to teach in a multi-grade situation, which is vital because 87 percent of all Seventh-day Adventist schools are one- and two-teacher schools.

Jacque earned a bachelor's degree at Union College in 1988 and a master's from La Sierra University in 1993. She taught at Holland Seventh-day Adventist  School during the 1988-1989 school year. Jacque was then called to teach at George Stone in 1989. She taught at George Stone until 1995 after the birth of her second son. From 1995 to 2000 she ran a daycare out of her home. Then in 2000, Jacque was asked back to teach at George Stone where she is today.

First and foremost, Jacque is a wife and mother. She has been married since 1988 and has two gorgeous sons. Jacque has always wanted to be a teacher. She feels privileged to be teaching a George Stone where she makes a difference in many ways. She teaches wonderful children and helps prepare students for their work in education. Recently, Jacque was asked to work on a North American Division Curriculum Committee. She spent two summers helping to revamp the Small Schools Language Arts program. She teaches first through fourth grade at George Stone.
