I help out in the Earliteen Class and sit on the Health Ministries Committee at Piedmont Park SDA church. Our family provides full-time foster care with CEDARS. We are enjoying this opportunity to serve the community in this way. There is a good possibility that adoption is in the future. God has amazing ways and plans of which we know not -- My goal is to stay open to the possibilities!
Before Union, I worked part-time for Southern Adventist University teaching OB and Community Health clinicals and tutoring OB. I started working at Union in June 2010.
Health promotion, prevention and wellness.
I was raised in the Yukon Territory in Canada. My husband and I have three children, Nathan, Jannah and a foster "Sweet Petunia". We enjoy camping, hiking, biking, walking our dogs, playing sports and reading books together.
I met my husband, Kalvin, at Southwestern Adventist College. He graduated in 1995 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Broadcast-Communications. He served as a student missionary for Adventist World Radio in Costa Rica in 1995-1996. This was our first year as newly weds. It was a great experience!
From Costa Rica, he took an internship with LifeTalk Radio in Yakima, WA. He worked for LifeTalk for 13 years. He is Studio Director at Christian Record Services for the Blind.
