My family attends New Creation Seventh-day Adventist Church where we are very involved. My children attend Pathfinders, I sing with the praise band and help in cradle roll, and my husband is an elder and helps with the sound system.
We love our New Creation family and count it a blessing and privilege to be involved!
I worked previously as a clinical social worker in primarily health care settings. I have been a clinical social worker in several hospital settings and in home health care. My most recent experience as a clinical social worker was as a hospice social worker in Denver, Colorado. I found my hospice work to be the most rewarding of my life.
This will be my fourth year teaching at Union. I am so blessed to be here and love what I do. I count myself as a life long learner and find that I am learning in class as well as the students! My favorite part of my role at Union is as an adviser. I love to get to know my students and watch them grow spiritually and professionally.
I am married to Greg Merchant.
I have two children, both 8 years old: one boy and one girl. They are not twins; my daughter was adopted from Ukraine. They attend and love the lab school on campus, George Stone Elementary.
