Biography of Michelle Buller
Michelle Buller MMS, PA-C is the current academic director of Union College’s Physician Assistant Program, and served as the program director from 2012 to 2014. Michelle grew up on the farm in Henderson, NE and graduated from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln with a double bachelors in nutritional science and dietetics and exercise science. She then got her Masters in Medical Science and Physician Assistant degree from Midwestern University in Glendale, Arizona. Her PA background is in internal medicine, family practice, and cardiology. She then went on to do a 1-year post graduate fellowship at the University of Iowa in Psychiatry. Prior to her role as program director, Michelle was the clinical director & assistant professor at Union College Physician Assistant Program in Lincoln, NE. She will continue and enjoys teaching psychiatry, nutrition, preventative health, and a co teacher of history and physical. She practices outpatient psychiatry on Tuesdays at Heartland Psychiatry at Bryan LGH. Michelle speaks for CME Educators at different parts of the US for a board review course which also comes to Lincoln every April.
Michelle’s favorite part of her role in the physician assistant program at Union College is the relationships that form with students, faculty, staff, preceptors, and especially the opportunity to influence PA students to become the best, most competent and caring PA they can be!
She is board certified through National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants. She is a member of Nebraska Academy of Physician Assistants, Christian Medical and Dental Society, Physician Assistant Education Association, American Academy of Physician Assistants, and Association of Physician Assistants in Psychiatry.
