Biography of Michelle Mesnard
Michelle Velazquez Mesnard is an associate professor of communication.
While at Pacific Union College, she completed her masters degree in public relations at Golden Gate University in San Francisco in December of 2002.

Before she was a proud member of the Union College staff, Michelle spent four years as the director of public relations at Pacific Union College in Angwin, California. Then, seven years ago, she and her family left sunny California for the freezing cold winters of Nebraska. They are now Nebraskans through and through.
Michelle's hobbies include reading (which is why she is a part of a great book club), crocheting, and just being a mom. She is married to Mike Mennard, a communication teacher at Union College, and they have an 10-year-old son named Ramsey, a fourth grader at George Stone Elementary. The thing she loves most in the world is hanging out with her family. Quite often you'll find her husband or son, if not both, hanging out in her office. Michelle is also very obsessed with anything Disney. But she isn't the only one. Her entire family is obsessed with it. You can tell because both her and her husbands offices are decked out with Disney stuff. Every year, they go to Disneyland at least twice; once in the summer and once during the holiday season. What started out as a hobby has now become a resource for her classroom. Each Disney trip is an opportunity to research how Disney implements the tools of public relations in amazing ways.
