RESURRECTION PAGEANT AT
UNION COLLEGE
LINCOLN–On
Saturday, April 19, Union College will be holding an outdoor resurrection
pageant that will feature scenes from the final week of the life of Jesus
Christ. The pageant will begin at
College View Church located at the corners of 48th and Prescott and
will continue with scenes at various outdoor locations on the Union College
Campus. The program will begin
every fifteen minutes and will run from 10 a.m. to noon.
The
resurrection pageant is organized and led by Union College students and has
been a tradition of the school for the past 15 years. Scenes from the final week of Christ’s life are taken
directly from the Bible and acted out by Union College students and staff. These 10 scenes include the triumphal
entry, the last supper, crucifixion and resurrection.
Admission
to the pageant is free and is open to the public.
RAIN PLAN: If weather does not permit the outdoor scenes for the pageant, the event will be moved into the College View Church with two productions beginning at 10:30 and noon.
