Father of Columbine victim to speak at Union

LINCOLN—Darrell Scott, the father of one of the victims of the shooting at Columbine High School, will speak on Union College’s campus on Jan. 21. Since the tragic day of April 20, 1999, when his daughter, Rachel Joy Scott was killed, he has spoken to millions of people around the world. He has written several books, including the best seller, Rachel’s Tears. After the tragedy, Scott founded Columbine Redemption, a non-profit organization that aims to prevent school violence.
        Scott will share his daughter’s story at 7:30 p.m. in the College View Seventh-day Adventist Church, 49th and Prescott Ave.
