Nebraska Life magazine features Union student
LINCOLN—Jonathan Hilliard, a
senior at Union College, was selected by Nebraska Life magazine to be
featured in its annual “Guide to Nebraska Colleges & Universities.
”Hilliard is one of 10 Nebraska collegians to be featured with a short
biography and photo.
Hilliard is a business major and
National Merit Scholar from Cedar Rapids, Iowa. He has already started his
own business selling used cell phones on eBay. With this new
entrepreneurial venture, he anticipates the need to hire an associate in
the near future.
Hilliard is a member of Union
Scholars and his senior project involves researching small businesses in a
local neighborhood. He is a student member of Union’s Integrated Marketing
Team and the Division of Business’s Best in Class Advisory Board. He has
also served as a student body senator and as editor of the business
program’s alumni newsletter.
The college guide appears in the January/February 2005 issue. Nebraska
Life magazine focuses of Nebraska’s people, places, history and culture.
“Telling stories about Nebraska and
Nebraskans is what we do as a magazine,” said Managing Editor David
Bristow. “So for us, the best way to talk about colleges was to tell the
stories of some of our outstanding students.” |
