College

LINCOLN—A collection of James
McClelland hummingbird paintings is currently on display in the McClelland
Art Gallery, Union College Ortner Center, through Feb. 13.
McClelland painted these original
watercolors as illustrations for the book The Hummingbirds of North
America, Smithsonian Institute Press, by Paul Johnsgard, professor of
Ornithology at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln.
McClelland, for whom the gallery is
named, is a professor of art at Union College.
Gallery hours are from 8 a.m. to 8
p.m. daily. Union College is located at 3800 South 48th Street. Parking is
available from Prescott Avenue. Call 486.2545 for more information. This
exhibit is free to the public.
