Union gets wound up with attempt at yo-yo world record

LINCOLN—Union College attempted to yo-yo its way into record books Saturday, Nov. 20. Union students, faculty, staff and neighbors participated in the college’s endeavor to set a record for the most people yo-yoing in one place. To break the standing Guinness Record 430 people needed to yo-yo for two minutes. Instead, Union succeeded in having more than 300 people yo-yo for three minutes. Although this was not accepted by Guinness as a world record,  participants enjoyed refining their yo-yo skills. Union may plan another attempt at the world record in the future.
