Larson Lifestyle Center undergoes three-month renovation;
reopens for swimming lessons in June

LINCOLN—Larson Lifestyle Center on the Union College campus will undergo a three-month renovation beginning in March to address structural concerns in the pool area. During this time, the swimming pool will be closed. The renovation project, which is estimated at $550,000, will include a replacement of the heating, ventilation and air conditioning systems, ceiling replacement, painting, and other upgrades and repairs in the pool area.
        The pool will reopen the beginning of June in time for regularly scheduled swimming lessons. The weight and fitness center will remain open throughout the renovation process.

        “As we celebrate the 25^th anniversary of Larson Lifestyle Center this year, these renovations will help ensure that this facility will be here to serve the community for many more years to come,” said Ric Spaulding, director of Larson Lifestyle Center.
        Larson Lifestyle Center has offered community swimming lessons since the facility opened in 1981. In addition to lessons in the 25-meter pool, the complex also offers a variety of services to the community including a weight and fitness center, water aerobics classes, a swim club and more.
