Union College Samoan students perform at Nelnet employee meeting

LINCOLN—On Oct. 27, Union College Samoan students performed for more than 500 Nelnet associates during the company’s bi-annual meeting held in Lincoln at the Embassy Suites hotel.
        Formed in 2001, the Samoan performance team is composed of 17 Union students who demonstrate traditional Tahitian, Samoan and Hawaiian dances. Those who performed for the Nelnet event include: Anastacia Faumuina; Christina Feleti; Christal King; Lesi Malaga; Nu’ulau Sa’lele; Salaina Taase; Marilyn Tago; Carol Tolai; and Teri Utu.
        Nelnet provides student loan services for Union College and selected the group to provide a student inclusion in the company’s meeting. The group has also performed several times on the Union College campus.
