“For unto us a Child is born, unto us a Son is given.” Isaiah 9:6
After yesterday’s “providential” opening of the Bible to the “snow verse,” I just kept looking at other things Isaiah had to say and I came upon an equally famous “Christmas verse” this morning! I was captured by the four prophetic names He gave Jesus:
“Wonderful Counselor”- He will guide me, if I wish,
“Mighty God”- He will be my strength, if I let Him,
“Everlasting Father”- He will be my permanent parent, if I accept Him,
“Prince of Peace”- He will bring me contentment, if I allow Him.
He is willing to do SO MUCH for me- IF--- that is the operative word! He’s willing to give and be, IF I am willing to accept. May this Christmas season be about giving to others, AND accepting from Him!
Have a great day acknowledging and appreciating the Child that was born, the Son who was given,
Quote of the day: “Prayer is intended to be your first priority, not your last resort.” E-cards.
