“Great peace have they that love your law, nothing can make them stumble.”   Psalm 119:165

Welcome to a day that only comes around every four years!! Leap Day! So if you are born on this day do you grow up only 25% as fast as everyone else? Something to think about!

“The Lord your God is with you, He is mighty to save.”    Zephaniah 3:17

That a good reminder every day—I need to remember that God IS always with me and He IS mighty to save! I didn’t say I always feel it directly, but I believe it  by faith, and that’s what I hang onto, in the good time and when things get tough. “To you, O Lord, I lift up my soul.”            Psalm 25:1

As I was reading the psalms this morning I realized that this could be a helpful model for prayer. I was reminded of things to include in my prayer that can help keep me focused:

“Oh how I love your law! I meditate on it all day long.”   Psalm 119: 97

“How can a young man keep his ways pure?”     Psalm 119:9

Good question, and not just for “young” men!! The devil continually bombards with evil and the direction of much of the world is to endorse his bombardments. How do I keep from being sucked in to his downward spiral? If it’s important to God, it’s clear in His word. “By meditating on Your word.” Or as another version puts it, “by living according to Your word.”

A wise man listens more than he speaks, but a fool causes himself all kinds of trouble by doing the exact opposite. ~Proverbs 10:14 (Randy Reed Paraphrased Version)

Randy is a friend of mine here in Lincoln; casually in that we hardly ever see each other,  but I feel spiritually bonded to him because of the way he continually blesses my life with his daily dose of his “Randy Reed Paraphrase” of the Bible. Yesterday was exceptional and I thought I would share it with you for multiple reasons:
