Good Morning Union

It's August 25; Good Morning Union

“In all my prayers for all of you, I always pray with joy…”          Philippians 1:4

Welcome back! OR, welcome for the first time if you are just joining our school family. For my 16th year I am writing Good Morning Union as a way of illustrating to you the faithfulness of God when we choose to spend time with Him, AND to provide a unifying focus for all of us as we make this school year the greatest experience possible- with God!!

It's May 7; Good Morning Union (for the last time this school year!)

“The revelation—OF JESUS CHRIST.”       Revelation 1:1

Perfect timing- last book of the Bible; last day of school, and last GMU for another year!! Did you know that my text for today is the first verse of the last book of the Bible? It’s not just the book of Revelation, it’s the book of the “Revelation of Jesus Christ!”

It's May 6; Good Morning Union

“To Him who is able to keep you from falling…”  Jude 24

Today, and tomorrow, and this school year is history!! I have mixed emotions! Happy for you; sad for me; it gets really boring around here when you are gone. But I’m glad to see you moving on and growing both professionally and spiritually.

It's May 5; Good Morning Union

“I have no greater joy that to hear that my “students” are walking in God’s truth.”           3 John 4

It's May 2; Good Morning Union

“…the knowledge of truth that leads to godliness.”          Titus 1:1

I only got through the first two verses of my book for the day! And I found a mathematical equation for my spiritual life! First, here’s the whole verse:

It's May 1; Good Morning Union

“I know whom I have believed, and am persuaded that HE IS ABLE…”     2 Timothy 1:12

Probably one of my favorite verses in all the Bible; also the last words Ellen White spoke before she died. It just reflects such a confidence in God (and not in myself) as I journey toward His kingdom. Three parts, with a focus on the middle part:

1.            “I know WHOM I have believed,” meaning for me it’s WAY more than WHAT I know; it’s about WHO I know!

It's April 30; Good Morning Union

“The goal of this command is love, which comes from a pure heart and a good conscience and sincere faith.”      1 Timothy 1:5

It's April 29; Good Morning Union

“Never tire of doing what is right.”           2 Thessalonians 3:13

It's April 28; Good Morning Union

“Be joyful always; Pray continually; give thanks in all circumstances, for THIS is the will of God for you in Christ Jesus.”     1 Thessalonians 5:16-18

Wondering about God’s will? Well, here is it (at least in part!):

1.            “Be joyful always.” Joy is not the same as happy, giddy or silly; it’s an inner sense of contentment and satisfaction that I am in good hands.

It's April 25; Good Morning Union

“Now to Him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine…” Ephesians 3:20

A section of Scripture that Pastor Terry Bock memorized and has recited numerous times at church… I am so blessed by it every time I hear it that I decided to learn it too. What a blessing to fix God’s word in my mind. I have it there to pull up whenever I wish or need.
