Union is a Christian college founded in 1891 and is owned and operated by the Seventh-day Adventist Church.
LocationUnion is located in Lincoln, capital of the state of Nebraska. In this central region of the United States you will experience a purer English language, without an accent. Lincoln has approximately 250,000 people and is a city characterized by its safety and hospitality. You will enjoy cultural diversity and many options for recreation, such as parks, museums, art galleries, international cuisine, and cultural presentations. AcademicsWould you like a variety of options when deciding on a major? At Union you have more than 37 majors to choose from. If you want to learn English, the ESL (English as a Second Language) program is the answer. You will have individualized attention, one-on-one tutoring, interaction with host families, and many opportunities to make new friends while learning the language. The ESL program is especially designed to help international students like you to become fluent in English and to prepare you for college.
On campus workInternational students can work up to 20 hours per week on campus when work is available. ESL Tuition DiscountThe tuition for the ESL (English as a Second Language) program is discounted 30 percent from regular tuition for your first two semesters. Merit ScholarshipsWhen you enroll in Union's university level program, you may be eligible to receive a merit award, based on your high school grades or previous college course work. Eligibility for full Union College awards and grants requires enrollment at Union for 12 or more hours in univeristy-level classes.
*Renewable at 50 percent for seven additional semesters as long as the student maintains a cumulative GPA of 2.0+ and is enrolled full-time at Union.
*Renewable at 100 percent for up to five additional semesters depending on the number of credit hours upon entry as long as the student maintains a cumulative GPA of 2.0+ and is enrolled full-time at Union. |
