Ben Santiago is a senior art education major; and with graduation a few short weeks away, this exhibit is a time for him to look back on his personal history with art.
It began with some classes in fifth grade that challenged him to begin experimenting, and it wasn't until his junior year of high school that he began take formal classes again. When he entered college, he began with theology, and later switched to art education.
His gallery shows the interest and techniques he has developed in different subjects and mediums. "I find myself drawn to Impressionistic paintings," Santiago said in his artist statement. "I find a great challenge to capture the essence and feeling that a scene leaves you with."
The display will be up until Saturday night, April 25.
