'Multifaceted Design' emphasizes opaque watercolor
For Jeremy Diehl, senior studio art and pre-med major, art began as a hobby, and he continued doing it through college using it as a stress reliever from his other classes.
Although in his exhibit, titled "Multifaceted Design," he displays oil, sculpture, pottery and airbrush, his emphasis is in opaque watercolor.
"I'm big into detail, not abstract," Diehl said. "I'm a perfectionist so I try to make things look as realistic as possible."
"Multifaceted Design" begins with a reception on May 3 at 6 p.m. in the McClelland Art Gallery. The exhibit is up until May 12.
The McClelland Art Gallery located in the Ortner Center on the Union College campus, 3800 S. 48th Street. Enter the campus from Prescott Avenue. The art gallery is free to the public and open daily from 8 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. For more information, contact the Ortner Center at 402.486.2545.
