The Division of Business and Computer Science* mission statement is "to prepare professionals for Christian service in the business world by providing a quality, student-oriented education that emphasizes ethics and balances practice and theory." Service events include working with the Good Neighbor Community Center, Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA), and Junior Achievement (JA).
Student Appreciation Days (a.k.a. treat days) are events that occur on a particular Wednesday three times a semester. Every treat day comes with a new theme to recognize different groups.
The Business and Computer Club also provides great social events for members such as Lincoln Star hockey games, Husker athletic events, free Chipotle burritos, campouts and bowling.
Business Awareness Series is a forum where the Business and Computer Club invites professionals to come share their work experiences with Union College students. The speakers' backgrounds and topics vary widely, but often focus on providing advice and perspective as well as information on different career paths and industries.
The Mentorship Program matches students wtih community leaders willing to share their business knowledge and experience. By encouraging and supporting students, mentors empower them for the business world.
