What happened to NetLibrary?

If you have looked for NetLibrary ebooks recently you may be wondering what happened to them. EBSCO purchased NetLibrary from OCLC in the spring of 2011 and earlier this summer announced that they would discontinue use of the NetLibrary brand name. Ebooks originally part of NetLibrary were integrated into the EBSCOhost platform during the week of July 18.  Readers will now find these books under the database title eBooks from EBSCOhost on the library's website and under the title eBook Collection within the EBSCOhost system.

For the time being readers will continue to see the name NetLibrary in our library catalog and they may encounter broken links. It will take some time to update all of the old NetLibrary records with the new EBSCOhost name and links.

The integration of our ebook collection into the EBSCOhost platform means that readers may now bookmark, save, and share ebooks using their personal EBSCOhost accounts.  Using the EBSCOhost multiple database profile, allows readers to simultaneously search ebooks and journal articles.
