Union to host volleyball tournament

This week Union College will host the annual Mid-America volleyball tournament Oct. 18-21.

With the first serve set for 6:15 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 18, the tournament will feature nine teams, including two from outside of the territory of the Mid-America Union Conference. The teams have been divided into two pools based on win-loss record, and each school will play the others in their pool on Thursday and Friday to determine matchups for the single elimination tournament on Saturday night and Sunday. The championship game will take place at 11:15 a.m. on Sunday, Oct. 21, in the Thunderdome

Union College will webcast select games from the tournament. Games will be played in the Union College gym and in the College View Academy gym (5240 Calvert St.) All matches in the Union College gym will be webcast live at uclive.ucollege.edu
