Union to host volleyball tournament

This week Union College will host the annual Mid-America volleyball tournament Oct. 18-21.

Meredith Andrews to perform Friday, Oct. 19

Dove award-winning singer songwriter Meredith Andrews will perform at Union College for vespers on October 19 at 7:30 p.m. in the College View Seventh-day Adventist Church.

Andrews, a worship leader at Chicago’s 12,000 member Harvest Bible Chapel, won two Dove Awards from the Gospel Music Assocation in 2011, one for “Praise and Worship Album of the Year” for As Long As It Takes, and “Worship Song of the Year” for “How Great is the Love” from the same album.

Orlando Magic VP Pat Williams to speak at Leadership Symposium Oct. 22

Pat Williams, co-founder and senior vice president of the Orlando Magic basketball team and author of the upcoming book, Tom Osborne on Leadership, will speak at College View Seventh-day Adventist Church on Monday, Oct. 22, at 7:00 p.m. in a free presentation sponsored by Union College. Williams will also speak for Union College’s chapel service on Tuesday, Oct. 23, at 10:30 a.m.

Shaun Groves to Perform on Friday, Aug. 31

For singer and songwriter Shaun Groves, his desire to see children in poverty receive an eduction and opportunity equals his love for music. On Friday, August 31, the Texas native will use his musical talents at Union College to bring awareness to the plight of many hungry children around the world.

"Collage" of student activities on registration day

Much like an artistic collage is comprised of various materials and colors, Union College provides students with diverse opportunities and experiences. On registration day, August 20, the Union Collage will introduce students to campus clubs, local businesses and ways to engage with their campus and community.

Celebrate Easter with special events at Union

In conjunction with Homecoming Weekend, Union College will celebrate Christ's death and resurrection with several special events.

On Saturday, April 7, at 10:40 a.m. Dick Stenbakken ’62 will perform a first-person drama, The Centurion, in the College View Church sanctuary. Stenbakken, who spent most of his career as a military chaplain, will perform the monologue in full costume from the view point of the centurion who professed faith in Christ at the cross.

Nursing Pinning Ceremony May 5

The Nursing Pinning Ceremony will be on Sabbath, May 5 at 3:30pm in Heartland Hall, College View Church.  Congratulations May 2012 graduates!

Union participates in NICF College Week

This week, July 25-29, Union College will join the eight other member schools of the Nebraska Independent College Foundation in hosting College Week, a special visit event for prospective college students across eastern Nebraska.

During College Week, Union will host two visitation times each day, at 9:00 a.m. and 1:30 p.m., and will include a campus tour and a financial aid presentation. Each member school will follow the same schedule so perspective students can visit more than one college per day.
