Math Education Majors to Meeting of the National Council of Teachers of Mathematics

Six mathematics education majors are looking forward to the Annual Meeting of the National Council of Teachers of Mathematics. Brady Asher, Joni Giem, Tori Hudgins, Emily Lorenz, Dan Martinez and Derek Timms will be flying to San Diego on April 20. These juniors and seniors will join approximately 15,000 math teachers from across the country for three days of sessions focused on "Connections: Linking Concepts and Context."

LifeTalk Radio to interview IRR students

The Union College International Rescue and Relief Program will be featured on LifeTalk Radio and the Hope Channel on Tuesday, Feb. 23, during the Steve Gallimore Live Show. The hour-long live call-in show is simulcast from 1 to 2 p.m. CST.

Students Daniel Rogers and Sarah Sexton will join John Thomas, the program's administrative director, on the show to discuss both the IRR program's recent trips to Haiti and the unique coursework and hands-on training that prepares students to respond to emergencies and provide aid to developing nations.

Mid-America Basketball Tournament single-elimination brackets announced

Mid-America Basketball Tournament officials have announced brackets for the single-elimination tournament which will begin Saturday night. The basketball event, which includes men's and women's teams from ten Adventist academies, began on Wednesday with a round-robin tournament and will conclude Sunday afternoon.

Tournament games played in the Union College gym will be webcast live and archived at uclive.ucollege.edu.

Basketball tournament games to be webcast live

Select games from the Mid-America Basketball Tournament will be streamed lived and archived at uclive.ucollege.edu. The annual tournament includes mens and womens teams from ten Adventist academies.

The round-robin tournament started yesterday afternoon and will continue through Friday at both the Union College and College View Academy gymnasiums. Only games in the Union College gym will be webcast. 
A single elimination tournament will take place Saturday night and Sunday. The schedule will be announced on Friday afternoon.

Lincoln Educational Access channel to broadcast academy tournament game

The Lincoln Educational Access Channel (Lincoln Time Warner Cable channel 21) will tape tonight's basketball game between College View Academy and Maplewood Academy at 8:30 p.m. in the Union College gym. The game, part of Union's annual Mid-America basketball tournament, will be streamed live and archived at uclive.ucollege.edu and broadcast at a later date on Time Warner Cable channel 21.
