Merit and Matching Scholarships
Union offers merit and matching scholarships and grants for undergraduate students. Eligibility for full Union College awards and grants requires enrollment for 12 or more hours and participation in thanking donors
Merit Awards for First-time Freshmen

First-time freshmen who do not qualify for a merit award and complete their financial aid application by the deadline qualify for the Union College Financial Application Grant of $5,500. (Details below.)

Summer Ministries Matching Scholarships
Union offers a matching scholarship to students who work at summer camp. The college will match of 75 cents for every earned dollar of summer camp earnings applied to the student's account up $1,200.
Students who attend Union for a second year and have worked at the same Mid-America Union Conference territory camp for at least two summers will be eligible for a dollar-for-dollar match of summer camp earnings applied to the student's account up to $1,600. Scholarship recipients must submit a camp earnings statement to the Student Financial Services office to validate eligibility.
Literature evangelism matches are available at 100 percent of earnings applied to a student's account up to $2,000.
Student Missions and Task Force Scholarships
To show our support for students who choose to take a year out of their education to volunteer around the world or within North America, Union offers the following scholarships upon the student's return. To qualify, you must volunteer through one of the programs affiliated with the college. For information about volunteering, contact Campus Ministries.

Local Church Matching Grant
Students who receive money on their account directly from a church qualify for the church matching grant. Union will match 50 cents for every dollar sent from the church, up to a maximum match of $1,750 ($875 applied per semester) from Union College. Churches must complete the church matching grant form and agree to comply with IRS regulations governing such transactions. Church funds must be received by check. Cash or credit card payments will not be eligible for the matching funds.
(Note: All of the above ministry matching scholarships are divided evenly and disbursed half in the fall and half in the spring. To be eligible for the full award amount, students must maintain a cumulative GPA of 2.0+ and be enrolled in at least 12 credit hours at Union College.)
Financial Aid Application Grant
Students who do not qualify for merit award and have a cumulative GPA of 2.0 or higher are eligible to receive the Union College Financial Aid Application Grant of $5,500 by completing the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) each year by the close of registration.
