Do you find other people fascinating? Do you find yourself constantly asking questions about why they do what they do? Psychology is the study of the human mind and how it functions. Psychologists try to understand not only how thoughts, emotions and attitudes develop, but why. They want to know why a person reacts in a certain way to a situation, and in some cases, how they can be helped. If that sounds like you, consider becoming a psychology major and unlocking some of the secrets of the human mind.
The psychology program at Union College provides students the opportunity to study basic psychological concepts from a Seventh-day Adventist Christian perspective. The psychology major is not a vocational degree. Graduates planning to become professional psychologists or counselors will need to continue on to graduate study.
