Social workers are people who care about people, who want to relieve suffering, and who want their work to make a difference.

The fully accredited social work program at Union College is designed to introduce relevant issues, to train students in relating to people from diverse backgrounds and creating plans to address the issues they face, and to develop a value system for professional and Christian service in social service organizations. The knowledge gained in the classroom is put into practice in actual social service agencies as part of the field practicum.
