The Personal Academic College Coaching (PACC) program is a voluntary program for students who pursue increased motivation, improved academic performance, good study habits, and effective communication skills.
Academic coaching is an alliance between a TLC coach and a student intended to create success skills in the college setting. It is individualized to each student's personal needs and learning style. Academic coaching helps students clarify their goals and learn how to reach them. It motivates students towards goals by providing new skills and thinking patterns as well as support, structure, and feedback.
A student enrolled in the PACC program will amplify the following skills:
- organization skills
- effective and consistent use of an academic planner
- time management
- study skills
- knowledge of personal learning style
- balance between academic and social life
- critical thinking
