I teach NURS 208: Fundamentals in the 1st semester of the Nursing Program. I enjoy teaching new nursing students and watching them grow throughout the nursing program. Building a strong foundation of time management, prioritization, and safe nursing practice is my passion.
I began my college education studying at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, where I completed my pre-nursing curriculum course work. I graduated from the University of Nebraska Medical Center with my BSN in 2009 and graduated with my MSN from the University of Phoenix in 2014.
Chair of the Admissions and Academic Evaluation Committee
I started my career in nursing on a Neuroscience Progressive Care Unit at Bryan Health in Lincoln, NE. While working as a floor nurse, I began working for Union College part time teaching students in the clinical setting. I transitioned to a full time clinical nursing faculty member in 2012. Spring 2014, I began teaching the Fundamentals of Nursing course.
My husband and I welcomed our first child into our family in May, 2013. Caden keeps us busy and entertained everyday! He has been a true blessing and answer to our prayers. In our spare time we enjoy cheering on the Huskers, spending time with family and friends, and watching Caden grow!
