Bob came to Union College from having pastored small and large churches in both rural and urban settings for thirteen years. His last pastorate was in Indianapolis, IN. He also served as an evangelist for seven years in the Washington Conference. Internationally he has been involved in evangelism in Russia and has taught a class in biblical interpretation to pastors in Zambia. He is now beginning his 17th year of teaching at Union College.
Bob gives seminars in lay preaching, understanding the prophecies of Daniel and Revelation, and he also enjoys accepting Sabbath morning preaching appointments.
My interests outside of the classroom include hiking, canoeing, birdwatching, gardening, traveling, learning about other cultures, and reading history. I have spent a year teaching in Hong Kong and taught an intensive class in biblical interpretation for pastors in Zambia. I have also been involved in two evangelim series in Russia. I enjoy new cultural experiences and the opportunity to share the gospel of Jesus Christ in those cultures. I really get excited about teaching and helping students discover and refine their gifts and calling to ministry. It is wonderful to watch the Holy Spirit develop people into leaders for Jesus Christ.Union College is a great place to become a leader for God.
