Thomas Toews is associate professor of religion at Union College where he has taught for the last five years. He received his undergraduate degree from Pacific Union College, and an MDiv and a PhD in Historical Theology from Andrews University. He teaches a variety of classes in the areas of theology and Old Testament but he most enjoys encouraging students to think like an Adventist. He wrote several articles for the recently published Ellen White Encyclopedia (2013) and is currently writing a book on Christian doctrines for use in Adventist colleges. With experience both in the classroom and as an ordained minister, he enjoys bringing Adventist theology alive to both new believers and seasoned Christians. Tom and his wife, Lena, along with their two boys, reside in Lincoln, Nebraska.
