It's April 4; Good Morning Union
“When I fed them, they were satisfied; when they were satisfied, they became proud; then they forgot me.” Hosea 13:6
What’s a God to do!? Just a verse today that caught my attention in my book-for-the-day of the conundrum that God places Himself in as He tries to love me and care for me. I am trapped in a society and culture that continues to bombard me with ego-centrism and it takes its toll sometimes.
Lord, deliver me from the temptation to be so selfish and self-centered with the gifts and blessings You give me. Help me remember that from the beginning, when you blessed Abraham, it was SO THAT he could be a blessing. (Genesis 12:2) Some things never change—Your reason for blessing, and my difficulty in dispersing those blessings to others, and the pressure that puts on You in having to now decide how “safe” it is to bless me.
Have a great day BEING a blessing,
Quote for the day: “The temptation of the age is to look good without being good.”

PS Family Worship will be the “Hanging of the Golden Cords” ceremony as a part of alumni weekend. Come see the pageantry of the flags and watch our SMs add their cord to the icon of UC. We’ll be starting @ 8PM for the rest of the year due to the lateness of sundown. We’ll be Skyping three of our SMs too. Join us for this special family worship time.
PPS Afterglo will be hosted by Business Computer Science.
