“Let your light shine.” Matthew 5: 14-16

The way I see it, I don’t have any choice but to let my light shine. It shines for good or it shines for bad (or it just shines sometimes!), because my life has its impact on every life around me. I cannot be my own island or believe the fallacy that I can do what I want whether it affect anyone or not, and if it does affect them, well, that’s their problem! EVERYTHING I do has some effect on someone! So my choice is not IF I’m going to let my light/life shine, it’s what kind of shining will take place.

“If anyone would come after me he MUST….”          Mark 8:34

After writing yesterday’s GMU I was reviewing some of the other important texts that I have identified as worth fixing in my mind, and I found another bit of counsel from Jesus about journeying with Him according to His priorities. “If anyone would come after me,” (I want to do that!) “He MUST:

Deny himself
Take up his cross

Follow Me
