It's December 6; Good Morning Union

“Blessed are you among women, and blessed in the child you will bear.”               Luke 1:42

It's December 5; Good Morning Union

“I am your servant, Lord. Let it be to me as you have said.”          Luke 1:38

It's December 1; Good Morning Union

“You shall call His name Immanuel, which is translated, ‘God with us.’”   Matthew 1:23

Maybe this is Jesus’ middle name!! Two days ago I was reminded that the angel told Joseph to go ahead and marry Mary because the child in her was planted there by God Himself. He told him to call his soon-to-be-born son “Jesus”—God saves. Today I only got to the next verse in my daily Biblical musings and I found Jesus’ other name, predicted long before this reality by the Old Testament prophet.

First of all, I’m home from my “extended” trip to Africa to see our SMs. “Extended” because of several travel situations which extended my return trip to three days!! It’s fun to go, but it’s more fun to come home! See you all on campus today! J Now, GMU-

Truly, truly, I say to you, he who believes (has faith) has eternal life.”        John 6:47

It's November 29; Good Morning Union

“You will give Him the name Jesus because He will save His people from their sins.”         Matthew 1:21

IT's November 28; Good Morning Union

“For, unto us a child is born, unto us a child is given….”   Isaiah 9:6

OK, Thanksgiving is over (though I am still thankful!) and I am getting into the Christmas spirit, which has been hard to do having spent the last week in Africa where it is hot and I got sunburned! Christmas is about snow and cold as far as this Minnesotan is concerned! I’m on my way back right now sending this from the Amsterdam Airport.

It's November 18; Good Morning Union

“Neither do I condemn you, go now and leave your life of sin.”      John 8:11

It's November 17; Good Morning Union

“Mordecai… was held in high esteem… because he worked for the good of his people.”  Esther 10:3

It's November 16; Good Morning Union

“The Lord is not slow about His promises…”  2 Peter 3: 8,9

It seems like I wrote on this not long ago, but I just came across the text again in my morning journey in God’s word and I still like it and am blessed by it, so it meets my criteria for GMU!!
