The Union College Center for Interfaith Studies and Culture invites you to participate in the following events this second semester:

Guest Lecture Series - A guest lecturer on the topic of interfaith relations will be invited to address the college and community in second semester. Stay tuned for details.

"Scriptures Study" - this will be a group that gets together on a weekly basis to read the stories that are common to the Quran and the Bible. This will meet at 7 p.m in the"Bollinger Conference Room" located in the Ortner Center.

"Religion Roundtable" - Different contemporary topics will be addressed by a guest panel representing some of the world's religions. These will be at 7 p.m. in the "Shawnee-Porter Conference Room" located in the Ortner Center.

CISC/Union College Food Drive - We will be collecting food on two Sabbaths in September/October for the Good Neighbor Community Center. Come out and help the underprivileged in our community.

"Interfaith Iraq Peacemaking and Memorial Service"September 28th, 6:54 p.m. The service will be held on the front lawn of Union College (along 48th St. - by the gazebo). This service is to recognize the victims of sectarian violence in Iraq and resolve to make peace in our community. There will be sharing talks, music and refreshments.

The service is co-sponsored with the Lincoln Interfaith Peacemaking Coalition and the Good Neighbor Community Center.

"Charity Concert for Iraqi Refugees"October 12th, 4 p.m.  at the College View SDA church. Come hear children's choirs along with some of Lincoln's best musicians and enjoy some good home cooked food in an effort to raise money for some of the 1.5 million refugees and internally-displaced people in Iraq. The concert is co-sponsored with College View SDA Academy and the Good Neighbor Community Center.
