Union welcomes 115 campus ministry leaders

Union College Campus Ministries is hosting the North American Division (NAD) Campus Ministries Convention March 18-21. More than 100 chaplains and campus ministries student leaders from 14 colleges and universities will share ideas and inspiration for the four-day event. NAD guest speakers include Jose Rojas, director of volunteer services, and James Black, director of youth and young adults.

Rich Carlson, Union College vice president for spiritual life, says one focus of this year’s convention is preparing students and churches for the transition to local church involvement following college graduation. “We are working to create a plan that will help congregations across the country receive young graduates ready to invest energy and time in ministry,” Carlson said. “By the end of the convention, we hope to have a list of best ideas and resources that churches can tap into generated by this gathering of campus ministry student leaders.”
