Library Fair: Union College Through the Decades

The 2016 library fair will be a celebration of the Union College's 125 years. Make plans now to attend on September 22 between 3 and 6 p.m. 


  • Enjoy dressing in costume? Come dressed according to the Union College dress code from your favorite decade, have your pictures taken by our official photographer, and you could win a prize. See the 125th Anniversary Research Guide to learn more about Union's dress codes through the years.
  • Food and Farm on Peanut Hill - enjoy refreshments and learn about the history of food at Union College.
  • Who's Who in Union College History - trivia about important (or not so important) people in Union's history.
  • In The Clocktower on Your Birthday - explore The Clocktower Archive and discover what was happening at Union when you were born.
  • Medical Cadet Corps: Changing the Response to War - Watch a 12-minutes documentary about the Medical Cadet Corps program started at Union College in 1934.
  • George Stone's Slate - From slates to tablets, the history of the education department at Union College.
  • Warriors Sports History - Try your hand at free throws, balloon volleyball, juggling, and gymnastics.
  • The Golden Cords: Sharing Light - Learn about Union's alumni who have served around the world.
  • Throwback Thursday: Theme Songs - The fair will conclude with a short concert of vocal music from Union's past. Performance begins at 5:40 p.m. Don't miss it!

Prizes will be given away during every activity. Complete the "Library Fair Graduation Plan" and you'll be entered in the grand prize drawing. You will also receive a "Library Fair Diploma" for your portfolio or to verify attendance for teachers who are offering credit.
