Union unveils electronic transcript delivery

Beginning November 29, Union College students and graduates can take advantage of a new electronic transcript delivery service—one that will dramatically shorten the time to send transcripts.

Union has partnered with Parchment, an academic credential management company that specializes in digital delivery, to send secure, paperless documents to any school in the world.

Union to phase out Guaranteed Education and Best of Both Worlds

Union College recently announced that two programs will be phased out at the end of the spring 2017 semester: Guaranteed Education and Best of Both Worlds.

“We know our students love the scholarships that help make Union a great value,” said Nadine Nelson, vice president for Enrollment and Student Financial Services. “We believe these changes will help us ensure we have the resources to continue funding our program that offers four-year renewable scholarships from $5,000 up to free tuition to each incoming freshman.”

Fine Arts Christmas Concert to be held Dec. 9

Union welcomes Trana as VP for Financial Administration

After three months of searching, Union College welcomes Steve Trana as vice president for Financial Administration. Trana accepted the job after a two-week interview process involving campus committees and the Board of Trustees. He will take the reins of the Office of Financial Administration on December 5, just in time to finish the fall semester.

The other side of the law

All it took was one ride along with a Lincoln police officer and Arcelia Gomez was hooked. Now after a series of mentorships and internships, the senior social work major found a job in the Lincoln Police Department supporting crime victims.

Campos exhibit aims to integrate art with religion

“Good theology must have good art,” said Abner Campos. The senior theology major believes that in a culture that relies so heavily on visual communication, the church must activly use art and design as a means to share the gospel.
